Where is the time going? Why can’t I just make time stand still just for a little longer? She is growing up way to fast and all I want to do is just hold on to these special moments. Right now every boo boo and awie can be fixed with a princess bandage and kiss. I love that she is still young enough where I can fix ALL her problem.

She has my heart!

I am usually super nervous about doing a large family shoot due to chaos that can be present when you have HUGE group to shoot. But I have to say this was a dream family to photograph. They were all so fun and outgoing and we all just had an AWESOME time. You might recognize some of them from a previous session I did this year, and now I have had the pleasure to meet the extended family too. Check out our session at Howarth Park in Santa Rosa!

My newborn parents have been the most rested and wide-eyed that I have seen for a while. Baby Austin was just as sweet as can be and his parents were literally some of the nicest human beings I have ever met and had the pleasure of working with. I did Harmony’s maternity session not too long ago and then told them to put me on speed dial for when their little one arrived, and they did just that. Austin was less than a week old when they opened up their home for me. Remember what I said about how nice Harmony and Rich were….they had flowers for me when I arrived. Shouldn’t I be the one bringing flowers to the new parents?? I hope I get to continue to capture this adorable family as they grow up together! I got to try out a few new props too, so this was an awesome session. Check it out….

A picture is worth a thousand words | Mendocino Family Photographer

We have all heard that, right? A picture is worth a thousand words, but most of us would probably agree a picture is truly priceless. This family called me about 3 weeks ago and recited to me one of my biggest fears. In a world of technology and where we depend on computers so much, they had LOST ALL…ALL their photos and did not have any back up plan for storing them. One word- Heartbreaking. As I was listening to their story, I couldn’t help but think back to when I was a young girl and our house burned down, and all was lost. But do you know what I miss most still to this day? The photos. The photos were the most important thing that will never be replaced. I am so happy I could be the one to get on record some photos for this wonderful family, especially before their baby girl is all grown up.

This was the VERY last shot of the day and I just LOVE everything about it….

That is what this session was ALL about! Another gorgeous day for a session in Sonoma County and this family traveled over an hour to capture these moments. Sophia and Marissa were absolute sweethearts, fashioning home made tutu’s made by their crafty mother! I had such a fun time chasing around little Marissa, and big sister Sophia was a true kind soul! This family knows how to share those moments that last a life time with lots of laughter, kindness, and love!!

What an absolutely beautiful day in February to shoot a family session. My first experience with this family was when they were a family of three and now they have added this precious little girl, Carolina. Such a cutie, with plenty of yawns and smiles. You can see how much this family loves and cares for each other and Connor is so sweet with his new sister!! What an amazing sunshine filled session!

What a FUN session. I got to spend my Saturday with one of the cutest little girls ever. Little Hanna Banana stole the show from the get go! She laughed and played the WHOLE time and it was just a honor to be around such a loving family. Enjoy this special time because they really do grow up so FAST!
