this winter day was oh so cold… our lips may have turned a shade of blue but these images were so worth it. i met Lauren a couple of years ago, she’s a rock star school counselor at my kids high school. her heart is so full of love for all the students she works with on a daily basis inside and outside of school. there was no doubt she was made to be a mother.
little miss Hadley was due in 3 weeks so we felt we had plenty of time. we chose this day, the only day that had no rain in weeks. lucky for us… huh? totally! luck was on our side for sure as sweet little Hadley came 3 days later… yes 3 days!
while shooting i told Lauren about another client of mine who went into labor pretty much during our shoot. i could tell her belly was dropping during our 2 hrs of shooting and at 1am i woke up to a picture of her beautiful baby. what? yes, that really did happen! cross my heart.
hope you love these photos as much as i do…
almost forgot to mention… these are edited with my new preset collection coming soon.
I’ve been a little MIA the last few days feeling a little under the weather. Ok, so I’m downplaying my whininess for y’all… LIKE really really…
The first thing I love when I’m not feeling my best is tea. Herbal, black, peppermint, orange/passion fruit, you name it there all yummy. Add a little lemon and honey and it’s sweet perfection.
Then there are books… awe now were talking. I could be lay in a pile of books for days. Recently I was on Periscope watching Cyrissa over at Immerse Workshops, her periscope is @immersephotography by the way, you’ll want to check her out! Oh yeah… books.. ok. Cyrissa had said there was a book we should check out so I headed over to Amazon and snagged it up quick like. It’s called, Light Is The New Black by Rebecca Campbell. Hook line and sinker Cyrissa thanks for the tip girl, awesome read!
Of course there is the dreaded thermometer. It’s like a surprise waiting to happen. What’s it going to be this time Bob? 101.1 or 102.5…. I would much rather it say 98.6 but ya nope! So tylenol and motrin it is… Chase it down with some ginger ale and it’s all good. Back to the couch, with my hot tea and my new read.
I have nothing but LOVE for this amazing family. When Sarah contacted me we connected right away and the moment we stepped foot on the beach this family had completely stolen my heart. Their style is top notch and I love her hair… Yes, I hair envy over here! When I started shooting her brothers family they told me they haven’t had their family photos taken in YEARS… yes years! I kinda giggled a little bit as I had to confess that I hadn’t either. As a photographer my family images never come off my computer, sadly to say. This year I hope to get them up on my walls once and for all. Here’s to hoping….
The Olson family traveled all the way from Canada to the Oregon Coast for their family vacation. I was so blessed to spend this gorgeous morning with them on the beach, playing and having fun. Also, hearing Leah talk was like a bird singing, her accent is incredible. Seriously their pup loved wearing this hat and how stinken cute is he and his big ole smile?
Kristine is the owner of Kristine Jayne Photography out of Phoenix, AZ. Her family and friends came up to the Oregon Coast for a relaxing vacation and asked me to come photograph them. I adore her and her beautiful family. Such a great group of people and even though we were freezing it was so much fun.
